Celebs catcalling at Fashion Week? More like giving props to a runway model's smooth recovery.

At Rebecca Taylor show, the runway was decked out in gold sparkles, bordered by the requisite smattering of gliteratti, including actresses Carmen Electra, Amy Smart, and Katrina Bowden — some of whom whooped and hollered when a model broke a heel and then nonchalantly removed her shoes and continued down the catwalk, the shoes dangling in her hands.

The collection was filled with flouncy sheer floral dresses. Backstage, Stacy London, co-host of the TLC show "What Not To Wear," summed up the look: "They make you wish you didn't have boobs."

Also present at Thursday's show was actress and comedian Aisha Tyler, who has been at half a dozen of this week's shows.

"I love Fashion Week," said the 6-foot-tall (183-centimeter) stunner. "It's an exciting time because you get to see so much creativity and so many brilliant ideas brought to life on the runway. As an artist myself, I can respect the time and passion they put into this."

This is the first time Tyler has stuck around for more than just a day or two of Fashion Week, she said, and in likelihood, it'll be the last. Why?

Turns out that the front row celebs require a lot more prep time than the fashion models, who often need to get primped and preened in a matter of minutes.

"I'm tired from it all — all the changing, the makeup, the hair..." she said, trailing off. "To be ready for a one o'clock show, you have to be up at like six o'clock. You have strangers in your room helping you get ready, when all you really want to be doing is taking it easy."

Meanwhile, has Gwyneth Paltrow caught the celebrity baby-adoption bug? She says it's something she wouldn't rule out.

"People who have a lot also often feel like they have a lot to give," said Paltrow, who wore a custom-made short bubblegum pink Gucci dress at Madonna and Gucci's "A Night to Benefit Raising Malawi and UNICEF" party Wednesday night at the United Nations.

"I have a good friend who always says that if you're a person of means at all," she continued, "then you have to adopt because there are so many kids in the world who need homes."

Could Paltrow have been referring to the Fashion Week party's material hostess, who's trying to adopt a boy from Malawi?

Brooke Shields, wearing purple Gucci, said she's a longtime Unicef supporter.

"I grew up with Unicef," she said. "When I was in the Brownies, we did huge drives for them."

Her two kids will likely one day tote those iconic orange boxes too, she said; and she won't rule out that they may even have an adoptive sibling tagging along.

"Adoption is something I'd consider doing — absolutely," said the Lipstick Jungle star. "Especially as I get older and I realize I'm not done being a mother. I may be done having children but I'm not done being a mother and that lends itself to a different choice process. But my babies are still pretty young, and I'm not completely convinced I'm done having babies on my own."

Comedian and television personality Rosie O'Donnell, however, suggested that any more mini-Brookes in this world could be overkill.

"I see the pictures of your babies and I just can't stand it!" she said. "They're just delicious."

What to say when your kids ask about the plight of Britney Spears? If you see a bald child swinging an umbrella on the street, call Rosie O'Donnell.

The longtime friend of Madonna and several other guests at Madonna and Gucci's "A Night to Benefit Raising Malawi and UNICEF" party offered a page from her book of parenting Wednesday night.

"So one day (my kids) came home from school and said 'Mommy there's a lady who has no hair and she is beating up people with an umbrella, do you know that lady? And I said 'Yes I do.' And they said 'Why is she hitting everyone with an umbrella?' And I said, 'Well, because everyone was chasing her and she was sick of it.

And they said 'Well why did she cut off all her hair?' and I said 'Because it's just hair, and you're allowed to cut off all your hair if you want.'"
