By the end of Wednesday night's CMT Music Awards, Carrie Underwood walked away with two of the top honors — nabbing trophies for Performance of the Year and Female Video of the Year.
But Underwood and many of the other leading ladies of country music (and beyond) were winning long before the awards were handed out — with their red carpet looks.
From floor-length florals to bold, black and beaded designs, the was no single trend that stood out as Nicole Kidman, Cam, Erin Andrews and others entered Nashville's Bridgestone Arena.
Instead, the stars stood out for their individual tastes and strong styles.

Kidman kept it short in this sparkling black dress but went long with the skinny tie.
It was all smiles and tiers for Cam in this classic-country white fringe.
Andrews, who co-hosted the event, paired her icy silver ensemble with a bold red lip.
The Little Big Town talent wore baby pink with a grown-up sheer twist.
Miley's big sister hit the red carpet in a long peach slip dress.
The stock car driver went racy with this black lace-up bodice.
King took a big plunge with a shimmering jumpsuit.
Former "Voice" winner Danielle Bradbery went with a cropped top and wide-leg pants in bright white.
The singer wore a red silk and lace in a high-low look.
Taylor Swift's BFF was decked out in all black.
Pope's sheer geisha-covered mermaid gown stood out in a night of standouts.
As for Underwood, in addition to reaping a couple of big awards and catching eyes on the red carpet, she stole the show when she hit the stage (in a very different and dark ensemble) and delivered a showstopping performance of "Church Bells."
What a night!
