From patriotic dresses to accessories that sparkle with Olympic spirit, TODAY Style Editor and Bobbie.com's Bobbie Thomas highlights designers getting in on the Games.
Flag fashions
Building from the Memorial Day weekend and July 4th celebrations, a patriotic fervor has swept the country and shows no signs of stopping as the 2012 Summer Olympics get underway. Celebrities have been out and about proudly sporting stars and stripes from an assortment of Hollywood's hottest brands.
From the Catherine Malandrino flag dress I recently wore on TODAY, to t-shirts, denim and more USA accents available at stores such as Urban Outfitters and Brandy Melville, you can find your own way to wear your pride.
Red, white and blue bling
Designers have been quick to commemorate London 2012 with a dash of sparkle. Jeweler Dannijo has dreamt up drool-worthy rock-n-roll crystal collar necklaces, the Liberty and the Lincoln, while Swarovski has reinvented Erika and Eliot character charms for an Around the World collection with pendants from 13 different countries including the U.S., Italy, Brazil, Russia, Spain, France, Austria and more.
Judith Leiber, whose bedazzled bags are not only fixtures on red carpets but considered collectables, has created limited-edition minaudières featuring the Union Jack flag and famous British landmarks.
