Luxe lacquer

It's time to pack away the pastels and pass on neon nail polish in favor of something a little more decadent. Ciate, known for their at-home 'caviar' kits, has introduced a brand new 'velvet' manicure. Simply apply the richly colored base coat and top with fuzzy flocking powder for a unique, textured look ($19, sephora.com).

Permeable polish

And for those looking to let their nails breath without giving up their colorful, candy coated fingers, consider Inglot's O2M Nail Enamel. It utilizes the same technology as long-wear, breathable contact lenses, so oxygen and water vapor can flow through. The formulation can also reduce the feeling of tightness across the nails and is available in over 50 chic shades ($14, inglotcosmetics.com).

Skincare salvation

Finally, if summer was rough on your skin, now is a great time to undo the damage, and a company called Sin-Care may be able to help.  Whether you spent to much time in the sun, didn't get enough sleep or just ate too much sugar, Sin-Care offers up serums designed specifically for all of your skincare 'vices.' Other formulations target sports fatigue, stress, smoking and living in an urban or polluted environment ($72, sin-care.com.au).
