1. For picture-perfect skin ...

For flawlessly blended foundation, consider the SiliSponge. The makeup tool is being touted as the new Beautyblender. While it's currently sold out (after eight re-stocks, mind you), the concept is actually more accessible than you may think. Your local drugstore stocks an alternative in the foot aisle!

Silicone gel insoles will blend foundation without absorbing excess product and can be cleaned quickly with soap and water. Just don't mix up new and used inserts around the house!

2. To prep and plump your pucker ...

A good balm can quickly moisturize parched lips, but sometimes, you're still left with that dry, crackly layer. To remove it and get a temporary volume boost, use a vibrating toothbrush on lips to exfoliate and increase blood flow. If you don't already own an electronic brush, you can find an inexpensive option at the drugstore starting at just $5.

3. To be bold ...

A deep, dark lip color is not only on-trend, it's also the easiest way to dress up your look. Add instant drama to any color you already own by lining and shading your lips with a black eyeliner pencil or eye shadow before applying color.

To add a little extra shine to your face (in a good way!), simply dab a touch of Vaseline or Aquaphor on the center of your eyelids and/or temples.

Bonus tip: Vaseline is also a great way to keep glitter in place without using harsh, hard-to-remove sealants.

4. For a festive hair accessory ...

A necklace or an earring can be a festive option for your hair this time of year. Yes, you heard correctly! You can put jewelry in your 'do to make it look really chic.

Here's how to do it: On dirty hair (aka, the second or third day after washing), tease your tresses into a messy pony or chignon. Use bobby pins to tack jewelry into place. Then you can wrap a chain around the ponytail, use a statement necklace as a headband or crown or even add an earring as an accent!
