Ariana Grande didn't go to the Grammys, but she still wore her gorgeous gown

She opted out of the Grammys on Sunday, but not before having a specially made ice-blue ballgown, which she showed off on Instagram

We missed seeing Ariana Grande at Sunday night's Grammy Awards, but you know what she missed?

Walking down the red carpet in her custom-made Zac Posen dress!

No problem, said the "Thank U, Next" singer, who'd opted out of the show late last week after a disagreement with one of its producers, and posted a photo shoot of herself all done up and in the ice-blue, Cinderella-style gown on Instagram.

"(W)hen @zacposen makes u a custom gown it doesn't matter if you're singing or not," she wrote in one of the photos, relaxing against the floor with her hair up in a top ponytail and wearing a wide bejeweled choker.

We also love that her nails were a perfect baby pink.

Posen was undoubtedly pleased to see his custom creation getting some love, and reposted two of her pictures with the comment, "Major congrats to you on your win. It was my pleasure to make you a gown and you look absolutely beautiful."

Clearly one of her dogs had a real affection for the dress, too, though more as a mode of transportation than a fashion statement:

According to Variety, the dispute arose over Grande wanting to perform her new song "7 Rings," while producers said she could only sing it as part of medley with a song they had chosen. After Ken Ehrlich told The Associated Press that Grande "felt it was too late to pull something together," Grande responded in a thread on Twitter last Thursday.

So what's this about a win? Yep, Grande picked up her first Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album, for "Sweetener" Sunday night. She tweeted late in the evening about how thrilled she was:

And added another Instagram while curled up in bed with her dog Myron by her side, hair still in place (though we guess out of the gown):

"(I)t's me your tiny, highly emotional, italian, and now grammy award winning friend. i'm super tarnished lol. but super grateful. thank u for everything," she wrote.

No, thank u, Ariana!
