It was an extra-hot and steamy summer day on the plaza, and our Ambush Makeover team was ready to have some fun!
Celebrity hairstylist Louis Licari and TODAY Style Squad member Jill Martin had a difficult choice, but they found two lovely ladies who were ready to sit back, relax and enjoy some pampering.
First up was mother of two and new grandma Debbie Jaynes-Dyke from Michigan. The 54-year-old, who works from home, keeps things comfortable and casual when it comes to her wardrobe. That all changed as soon as our Ambush Makeover team got to work.
Jaynes-Dyke mentioned she's always wanted an Ambush Makeover. In fact, she came to the plaza in hopes of getting picked. She was so excited she was shaking!
Upon her big reveal, Jaynes-Dyke's sisters Jackie and Lorrie couldn't help but squeal with excitement.
Jaynes-Dyke was speechless as soon as she saw herself in the mirror with her cool, asymmetrical bob haircut.
Licari also softened up her color, and Martin completed the transformation with a big change from Jaynes-Dyke's typical shorts-and-T-shirt look. She had her rocking a lace tunic, dark jeans and a pair of blue sandals for a casual but stylish look.

Next was 31-year-old Kendal Berry from Oklahoma. This mom of two recently lost 35 pounds and was in New York City with her boyfriend, Travis, who was excited for her to get a new look. Let's see what our Ambush Makeover team had up its sleeve!
"Wow! She looks beautiful!" said a shocked Travis upon seeing Berry's new look. "Oh, my gosh!"
Berry was equally as stunned upon seeing her new self.
"Wow!" she said as she looked in the mirror. She couldn't help but crack a smile.
Licari freshened up Berry's hair color to let her peaches-and-cream complexion shine. She then got a sexy, layered haircut. Edin O'Sullivan finished it off with stunning makeup.
For the outfit, Martin went all out with a showstopping jumpsuit that had Kathie Lee and Hoda swooning.
