Long hair would seem to be the way to go in wintertime: It keeps your head and neck warm.
But celebs often like to buck the trend, and Alyssa Milano is leading the charge with a sleek new holiday season hairdo!
She posted some fun photos on Instagram Sunday, showing off her new pixie 'do:
"Short hair don't care," she wrote in the caption for one. In another, she posed with her "glam squad," makeup artist Scott Patric and hairstylist Linh Nguyen.
But Milano wasn't alone in deciding to have a less hairy holiday: Hilary Duff also got a chopped-off cut that gives off a distinct retro '80s vibe. Here's her before:
"Soooo it's s pretty short," she wrote.

Milano and Duff have good company in the short hair game; celebs from Beyoncé to Jennifer Lawrence to Kaley Cuoco and Pamela Anderson have all experimented with going gamine.
And it's a neat gift to give yourself, especially at year's end. Since short hair doesn't take as long to style, we sense both women will have a lot more time to make cookies and wrap gifts for the big day.
Clever move, ladies!
