1. Infusium Repair + Renew Shampoo, $6, Amazon
“You don’t have to spend a lot of money on hair products, but just be informed about the ingredients in the formulas you are using. One of my personal favorites is Infusium Repair + Renew Shampoo because it contains argan oil and keratin, which help help improve strength and elasticity and smooth hair. Plus it’s affordable,” said Enzo Angileri, a celeb hairstylist, whose clients include Charlize Theron, Elizabeth Hurley and Rosario Dawson.
2. Garnier Fructis Style Frizz Guard Anti-Frizz Dry Spray, $4, Amazon
“This is one of my favorite products to control static and frizz. A lot of silicone-based formulas are too heavy and weigh down the hair, making it look greasy and lifeless. This lightweight spray really helps to keep the flyaways under control without compromising style,” said George Kyriakos, a celebrity hairstylist and founder of StyleBookings, who has worked with Julianne Moore and Natalie Portman.

3. Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo, $7, Amazon
“This is an excellent shampoo if you have dry, color-treated or thick hair. It really conditions and adds an amazing amount of moisture. Plus, it makes hair look fuller and get a gorgeous shine! And you can’t beat the price,” said Kyriakos.
4. L’Oreal Paris Hair Expert Extraordinary Clay Pre-Shampoo Mask, $6, Target
“This mask is great for oily or combination hair. It helps cleanse the scalp and absorb oils, while conditioning and leaving the ends soft. It’s perfect after spending a few days using heaving styling products, or going to the gym,” said Mara Roszak, a celebrity hairstylist, whose clients include Emma Stone, Brie Larson and Cara Delevingne.
5. TRESemme Repair & Protect 7 Instant Recovery Mask, $5, Amazon
“This is one of my favorite budget-friendly products for instant repair. Use it on freshly washed strands for 15-20 minutes before rinsing, sleep in it overnight or put it in hair before activities to hydrate strands, repair damage, add shine and protect against heat styling, swimming and environmental damage," said Justine Marjan, a celeb hairstylist whose clients include Chrissy Teigen, Khloe Kardashian and Kerry Washington.
6. Schwarzkopf Gliss Extra Volume Shampoo, $6, Amazon
“If you’re looking for shampoo that gives you endless volume, this is a winner! What I love about this product is that it repairs hair from within, while also delivering bounce and body. The liquid keratin penetrates 10 layers deep, so instead of coating your hair (which weighs it down), it repairs it from the inside. (That's) really important when you’re trying to achieve volume,” said Larry Sims, a celebrity hairstylist, who has worked with Tracee Ellis Ross, Zendaya and Gabrielle Union.
7. OGX Frizz Defy Moisture + Shea Soft & Smooth Creamy Hair Butter, $6, Amazon
“I love this product because it's a conditioner as well as a leave-in. It can be used on all hair types and, since it's silicone-free, it’s really able to get into the hair and pack it with moisture. Not to mention, the smell of coconut and shea butter lasts all day,” said Trace Henningsen, a celebrity hairstylist, whose clients include Jessica Lowndes and JoJo Fletcher.
8. Dove DermaCare Scalp Dryness & Itch Relief Shampoo, $6, Jet
“When my clients suffer from an itchy scalp and flakes, I recommend a solution that can promote a healthy scalp, such as new Dove DermaCare Scalp Dryness and Itch Relief Shampoo, which fights flakes and soothes a dry scalp, all while leaving hair moisturized,” said Tymothe Wallace, a celebrity hairstylist, who has coiffed Hollywood elite like Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer and Kelly Rowland.
9. Batiste Dry Shampoo in Sweetie, $8, Ulta
"As a hairstylist, I don’t go anywhere without my favorite dry shampoo — personally or professionally. Whether it's a quick fix or red carpet prep, Batiste makes hair feel clean while adding body and texture. And I love the sweet new scent,” said celebrity hairstylist Christine Symonds, who has styled the strands of A-listers like Kaley Cuoco, Chelsea Handler and Kristen Bell.
