Weird and wacky Guinness World Records 2017

The largest clogs (wooden shoes, that is) measure 11-feet-5-inches long, 5-feet-10-inches wide and 4-feet-10 inches-tall and were created by Jim Bolin of the U.S. and verified in Casey, Illinois. The shoes were shaped and carved by chainsaw. Each shoe weighs approximately 1500 pounds.

The largest gape measures 3.5 inches, and was achieved by Bernd Schmidt in Wendlingen, Germany. Ashrita Chinmoy is the Guinness World Record holder for holding the most Guinness World Records. The largest knitting needles measure 13 feet, 0.75 inches long and have a diameter of 3.25 inches. They were made by Jim Bolin and were presented and measured at Monroe Elementary School, Casey, Illinois. The knitting needles were used to knit a tension square of 10 stitches by 10 rows by Jeanette Huisinga.

The largest mailbox measures 5,743.41 feet and was created by Jim Bolin and verified in Casey, Illinois. There is a hidden stairway located in the post stand, and visitors can climb up inside the actual mailbox.

The largest pitchfork measures 61 feet, 1 inch long and 8 feet, 5 inches wide and was created by Jim Bolin and verified in Casey, Illinois. The pitchfork is on display in front of a local restaurant and weighs approximately 1,940 pounds.

The largest wind chime measured 42 feet long and consisted of five metal tubes suspended 49 feet from the ground. It was made by Jim Bolin in Casey, Illinois.

The highest bar jump cleared by a llama is 3 feet, 8.5 inches, achieved by Caspa, owned by Sue Williams, in Cheshire, U.K. And gymnast Raymond Butler broke the Guinness World Record for the longest back-flip into a pair of pants live on TODAY: See video here.

The most tattooed female senior citizen is Charlotte Guttenberg, who has covered 91.5% of her body with tattoos, as confirmed in Melbourne, Florida.

The most tricks performed by a cat in one minute is 20, achieved by Didga and her owner, Robert Dollwet, in Tweed Heads, Australia.

The largest collection of coprolites (fossilized feces) belongs to George Frandsen and consists of 1,277 coprolites, as verified at the South Florida Museum in Bradenton, Florida.

The largest chess piece is a king measuring 16 feet, 7 inches tall and 6 feet, 8 inches in diameter at its base. It was created by Gitok and was presented and measured in Kalmthout, Belgium.

The youngest female with a full beard is British-born Harnaam Kaur, who was 24 years and 282 days old when she was confirmed to have a full beard, in Slough, U.K.

The largest collection of hamburger-related items belongs to Harry Sperl (aka Hamburger Harry) and consists of 3,724 items, verified in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The longest distance pulled by a horse while on full body burn is 1640.42 feet, achieved by daredevil Josef Tödtling in Teichalm-Fladnitz, Austria. He protected himself from the flames with several layers of clothing, a cooling gel and metal shin and elbow pads. Illusionist Lucas Wilson attempted to set a new record for the fastest escape from a straitjacket in suspension and chains on TODAY. See the video here.

The longest tail on a dog measures 30.2 inches, achieved by Keon, who is owned by Ilse Loodts, in Westerlo, Belgium.

The fastest speed achieved on a monowheel motorcycle is 61.18 mph, by the U.K. Monowheel Team and Kevin Scott, riding WarHorse, at Elvington Airfield, North Yorkshire, U.K.

The largest ukulele is 13 feet, 1.08 inches long and was created by Lawrence Stump and measured in Lansing, Michigan.

The largest ice cream scoop is 6 feet, 4.7 inches long and was achieved by Dimitri Panciera, as measured in Forno di Zoldo, Italy.

The tallest female dog living is Lizzy, who measured 37.96 inches tall in Fort Myers, Florida. Lizzy lives with her owner Greg Sample in Alva, Florida, and was age 7 at the time of verification.

The largest golf tee measured 30 feet, 9 inches long with a head diameter of 6 feet, 3 inches and a shaft width of 2 feet, 1 inch. It was made by Jim Bolin and was presented and measured in Casey, Illinois. The golf tee was made out of yellow pine boards that were glued together to form a large block, out of which the tee was shaped using chainsaws.

The longest monster truck was created by Brad and Jen Campbell of Big Toyz Racing and is currently operated by Russ Mann. The truck measured 32 feet long at Last Stop in White Hills, Arizona.

The longest domestic cat is Ludo at 3 feet, 10.59 inches long. He is owned by Kelsey Gill. Ludo is one of the oldest American breeds: a Maine Coon, named after the U.S. state. 

The largest external foot rotation is 157 degrees and was achieved by Maxwell Day in London.

The largest horn spread on a living goat is 53.23 inches, and was achieved by "Rasputin" in Lienz, Austria.

The most tricks performed by a dog in one minute is 32, achieved by Smurf and his owner Sarah Humphreys in Hertfordshire, U.K.

The oldest manatee in captivity is Snooty, aged 66 years, 38 days as of August 28, 2014. Snooty lives at the South Florida Museum in Bradenton, Florida.

The largest loop-the-loop in a car measures 62 feet, 7.1 inches in diameter and was achieved by Terry Grant and Jaguar at the Niederrad Racecourse in Frankfurt, Germany.

The largest rocking chair measures 56 feet, 1 inch tall and 32 feet, 10 inches wide and was created by Jim Bolin and verified in Casey, Illinois. The rocking chair is on display outside of Casey City Hall.

The largest Afro on a male was 10 inches in height, 9 inches in width and 5 feet, 10 inches in circumference, and belonged to Tyler Wright. It was measured in St Louis, Missouri. See Guinness World Records from 2016 here!
