First public outing
When Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles left London's Ritz Hotel in 1995 after the 50th birthday party for Camilla's sister, it was their first appearance together in public. It drew massive media attention and was a carefully arranged move to indicate the seriousness of the partnership.
Marriages and divorces
Charles, Prince of Wales, kisses the hand of his bride, Lady Diana, on the balcony of Buckingham Palace after their wedding in St. Paul's Cathedral in 1981. Diana and Charles announced a separation in 1992, though they continued to carry out their royal duties. In August 1996, two months after Queen Elizabeth II urged the couple to divorce, the prince and princess reached a final agreement.

Three is a crowd
During a 1995 television interview with BBC's Panorama, Princess Diana said she had known her husband had renewed a relationship with Camilla Parker Bowles. "There were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded," Diana said. In 1997, Diana was killed in a car crash. Her death was mourned around the world.
