The 22nd Annual National Gingerbread House Competition was held on Nov. 19 in Asheville, N.C., at The Omni Grove Park Inn.

Entries were judged on a variety of different factors. The house had to be completely edible and consist of 75 percent gingerbread.

The competition offered over $20,000 in cash and prizes, which were awarded in adult, teen, youth (ages 9-12) and child (ages 5-8) categories. All houses were rated on appearance, creativity, dificulty, precision and consistency of each theme.
