Fans 'overjoyed' to see Matchbox Twenty
Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty greeted fans on Rockefeller Plaza on Sept. 3, 2012, as the rock band closed the Toyota Concert Series' summer season. Their set included "3 AM," "She's So Mean," "How Far We've Come" and "Overjoyed."
Train rocks out with classics, viewer's choice
Singer Pat Monahan and guitar player Jimmy Stafford of Train performed their hit songs "50 Ways to Say Goodbye", "Hey Soul Sister", "If It's Love", and viewer's choice "Drive By" on August 24, 2012. Monahan told Matt Lauer that the band has never had more fun together.
98 Degrees reunites as 'man band'
For the first time in 10 years, 98 Degrees reunited to once again perform in front of a cheering crowd, singing hits "Invisible Man," "I do" and "Because of You" on August 17, 2012. "I think you can expect more from us down the line," Nick Lachey hinted to Savannah Guthrie after the performance.
Lionel Richie shows off smooth moves
Lionel Richie proved he hasn't lost his touch after over three decades of performing. The pop crooner got fans dancing on the plaza with renditions of his classic hits like "Dancing on the Ceiling" and "Easy Like Sunday Morning" on August 16, 2012. He later serenaded Kathie Lee a few lines from her favorite song, "Stay," for her birthday.
Bieber brings the fever
An army of Beliebers shrieked when Justin Bieber took over the TODAY plaza stage on June 15, 2012. Many fans had camped out days before, and their wait was rewarded with performances of 'Boyfriend,' 'Baby' and 'All Around the World.' The teen idol later assured Lauer he's all right after suffering a concussion last month in Paris.

Bobby Brown goes old school
Singer Bobby Brown took it back...took it WAY back when he performed "My Prerogative" on the plaza on Memorial Day, May 28, 2012. He also told TODAY that he's been drug-free for seven and a half years and said his latest song, "Don't Let Me Die," was not about Whitney Houston, and was instead about his fiancee, Alicia.
Pitbull brings the party
Pitbull, a.k.a. "Mr. 305," gets the morning plaza crowd up and dancing with his hits on May 25, 2012. Suited up, the star also tells TODAY about writing music for "Men in Black" and clarifies that his music is "global" and shouldn't be pigeonholed.
