Is it appropriate for guests to wear white shoes at a wedding?
We all know white is usually reserved for the bride, but you have more leeway when it comes to footwear.
"Shoes are less controversial than a white dress, but judgment is key. Guests can wear white if it complements their overall outfit, but steer clear of obvious bridal-inspired choices like white satin and bow detailing," shares Blake.
What are the best shoe styles to wear to a wedding?
According to Blake, the best way to amp up your final look is to opt for shoes that have pearl details, floral touches or shoes with a strappy design.
"Shoes can be a statement piece used to accessorize the outfit," she says. "Add a pop of color to stand out against a neutral dress, or [if you're wearing] a patterned dress, go with a complementary color. They should complement the overall look, but matching is not required!"
For guests that want to keep the comfort level to a maximum, flats with a pointy toe, a cutout fabrication or one with embellishments like studs and pearls are also great options to add some flair.
