I think every woman can relate to a look they love but don't think they can pull off. For me, it's maxi dresses. I love the flowy fabric and the idea of not having to shave my legs, but these styles are typically lengthy, and I don't have legs for days. At 5 feet, 4 inches, I have legs for hours.
Still, now that social gatherings are kicking off for the summer, I'm willing to try a few fashion finds I normally wouldn't if it means giving my wardrobe a must-needed upgrade. In this case, it's this popular maxi dress with more than 23,000 five-star Amazon ratings.

This stylish racerback maxi is from Grecerelle, the same brand behind Amazon's bestselling short-sleeve maxi split dress. It comes in almost 50 different colors and patterns, including florals, stripes and snake print.
I decided to go with the army green shade in XS. I'd normally get a S, but since this dress is made of a mix of rayon and spandex, I figured it would stretch out like an old favorite T-shirt. The fabric is also super soft, almost like it's been pre-washed dozens of times.
My favorite feature is the pockets. I know it seems like every dress comes with pockets these days, but these are actually deep enough to fit my iPhone XS and my wallet.
It's the perfect length
The color appears exactly how it looks online, but my real concern was how this dress would fit. I was afraid it would be so long that it would be a serious tripping hazard (for myself and for passersby).
Fortunately, I was wrong. Even if I wear it with my favorite sandals, I don't need to recruit a friend to carry my train. However, it drapes better — and gives me more peace of mind in terms of falling down my stairs — when worn with a 1-inch or higher heel.
I normally wear this piece with my go-to pumps, but when I want to attract a little more attention, I'll slip on a cool pair of studded boots. I haven't tried on a ton of maxi dresses, but this one definitely has the right length for an average-height person like me.
The one thing to watch out for is how easily this dress wrinkles. I'm used to tossing this in a tote bag for traveling, but I always make sure I'm prepared with a handheld steamer to smooth out the skirt. The top is quite fitted, so it doesn't get too many wrinkles in that area.
A common complaint among Amazon reviewers is the sheerness of the top, but I haven't noticed that. However, the dress comes in a racerback style, so I need to remember to wear the right bra if I don't want the straps to show.
I'm such a fan of this dress that I'm considering buying it in black, too. Now that I know I can feel comfortable and look great in a maxi style, I'm in the market for a new LBD — a "long black dress," that is.
