This Latin twist on the famous Moscow Mule gets a tart and mildly sweet spin from tamarind.
Swap option: Try mango juice instead of tamarind.
- Sugar and chile powder, to taste
- 2 ounces vodka
- 2 ounces ginger beer
- 2 ounces tamarind juice
- Lime wedges
Combine the salt and chili powder in a small bowl and transfer it to a flat plate. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of each mug and dip it into the chili-salt to coat the rim.
Fill the mug with crushed ice.
Pour in the vodka, ginger beer and tamarind juice. Stir to combine. Squeeze the lime wedge into the drink and drop the wedge into the mug.
