Dressing
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • tablespoons fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Kosher salt and black pepper
  • The slaw
  • ½ cup raisins
  • 4 green pears, shredded (skin on)
  • 2 red pears, shredded (skin on)
  • 2/3 cup walnuts, toasted and coarsely chopped

    Sunny Anderson's pear slaw is an easy, mouthwatering accompaniment to any barbecued meat.

    Preparation

    1.

    Make the dressing. In a large bowl whisk together the vinegar, zest, orange juice, olive oil, a pinch of salt and a few grinds of pepper.

    Toss the slaw. Add the raisins, pears and walnuts to the bowl. Toss and serve.
