Stuffed Bacon-Wrapped Dates

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces blue cheese
  • 16 pitted dates
  • 8 slices bacon, cut in half
  • Toothpicks
  • Chef notes

    This is the ultimate sweet and salty combo! You get tanginess from the cheese and sticky sweetness from the dates all wrapped in a crispy, salty bacon blanket.

    Swap option: Substitute another preferred cheese like goat or brie for the blue cheese.

    Preparation

    Preheat oven to 350°F.

    Use a small spoon to stuff a small amount of cheese inside each date, pressing it closed. Wrap each date with 1/2 bacon strip and secure in place with a toothpick.

    Arrange on a baking sheet and bake 10 minutes on one side, then turn over and bake about 5-10 more minutes or until bacon is crisp. Serve hot.
