Ingredients

Margarita
  • 1 ounce tequila
  • 1 tablespoon Cointreau
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon rose geranium syrup
  • Rose geranium syrup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 10 rose geranium sprigs OR 1 drop of rose geranium essential oil, found in health food stores

    This beautiful floral cocktail from chef Craig Strong of Studio at Montage is the perfect elegant party drink.

    Preparation

    For the syrup, bring sugar, water, and sprigs (or oil) to a boil.  Allow to steep 5 minutes.  Strain and cool, keep refrigerated.

    In a shaker glass filled with ice, add tequila, Cointreau, lime juice and syrup then shake vigorously.  Strain over ice into salted rocks glass.

    Garnish with lime wedge.
