This crispy, salty, spicy, cheesy sandwich is perfect game-day food. You get all the great stadium flavors from the soft pretzel with mustard, plus the gooey goodness of melted cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 Philly soft pretzel
- spicy yellow mustard
- sharp provolone, sliced
- pickled cherry peppers, sliced
- butter
Preparation
Slice the soft pretzel in half lengthwise. Spread the bottom half with spicy yellow mustard. Lay 1 or 2 slices of sharp provolone on top of the mustard, then top with pickled peppers (quantity will depend on how spicy you like it). Close the sandwich.
In a sauté pan or griddle over medium heat, warm the butter. Toast the sandwich like you would a grilled cheese, using a spatula to carefully flip the sandwich once it's browned. Serve.
