I love starting my day with a protein-packed smoothie. It's sweet and filling, plus it give me a great little boost of energy.
Swap option: Add in 1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder is you're craving craving. Add a teaspoon of hemp seeds, if desired. They give you even more protein and some crunch if you like a little texture in your smoothie.
Ingredients
- 1 banana, preferably frozen
- 1/2 cup milk of your choice (I use an almond-coconut blend)
- 1 tablespoon natural peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon whey protein powder
- 1 tablespoon flax seed meal, for added protein and fiber
- 4-5 ice cubes
Preparation
Add all ingredients to a blender.
Blend on high until everything comes together.
Pour into a glass and enjoy right away!
