Chef notes
Your Super Bowl party guests just might forget all about the big game once they taste these deliciously adorable truffles.
Ingredients
- 1 package Double Stuf Oreos
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 2 cups chocolate, melted
- 1 cup white chocolate, melted
Preparation
In a food processor, chop the Oreos until they reach a fine crumb.
In a large bowl, mix together Oreos with cream cheese using a spoon or your hands. Once combined, roll the dough into 1½-inch footballs and place on a piece of wax paper. Place in the freezer for 15 minutes.
While the Oreo balls are in the freezer, melt chocolate in a double boiler or a metal bowl set over simmering water until smooth. Remove the Oreo truffles from the freezer and dip one at a time into the chocolate, being sure to cover each truffle completely. Place the truffles on a new wax-paper-lined baking sheet and put truffles back in the refrigerator to set the chocolate.
Once the Oreo balls are set, using white chocolate in a piping bag fitted with a skinny tip, pipe "laces" onto each football. Store in the refrigerator until ready to enjoy.
