Chef notes

On Super Bowl Sunday, Hoda steps up her pigs in a blanket game by using mustard-brushed croissant dough to wrap them, then dunks them in ketchup.

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated Crescent dough
  • 24 mini franks
  • Spicy brown mustard
  • Ketchup

Preparation

1.

Preheat oven to 375°F. Unroll can of dough; separate into 8 triangles. Cut each triangle lengthwise into 3 smaller triangles. Spread a thin layer of mustard on one side of each triangle.

2.

Place mini frank on shortest side of each triangle. Roll them, starting at shortest side of triangle and rolling to longest side. Place them point-side down on an ungreased cookie sheet (use parchment paper for easier cleanup).

3.

Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown, keeping a close eye on them (they can burn quickly!). Remove them from sheet once done. Serve with ketchup for dipping.
