This citrusy and floral-flavored simple syrup makes an excellent addition to cocktails and alcohol-free drinks. It adds sweetness and bright flavor to any beverage.

Technique tip: Simple syrup can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar or honey
  • 3-4 strips orange zest
  • 1 bag hibiscus tea

Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat and cook until the sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat and let steep for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Strain and use in any drink you'd like. Enjoy!
