Ingredients
For apple chutney:
- 2 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 tablespoon medium yellow onion, finely chopped
- 2 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 3 tablespoon light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/3 cup apple juice
- 2 tablespoon golden raisins
- 4 tablespoon or 5 large tart green apples, (granny smith apples) peeled, cored and chopped into roughly 1/2-inch pieces.
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Preparation
Baking Directions:
For apple chutney:Extra-virgin olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
Add the onions and cook for about 5 minutes.
Add the garlic and cook for another minute.
Increase the heat, then add brown sugar, apple juice and honey.
Bring to a simmer, covered.
Add in apples, raisins, salt and pepper, cover, and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
Remove the lid and cook until the apples are soft and the liquid has evaporated.
Serve with grilled sausage.
