Made with a navel orange (nearly always in season from California), plus orange juice, this sipper is loaded with over 500 mg potassium and is a sunny way to start your day.
Ingredients
- 1 navel orange, peeled
- 1 cup vanilla low-fat yogurt
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 2 teaspoons honey
Preparation
Section orange; transfer to a small freezer-safe container. Cover and freeze until sections are very cold, about 20 minutes.
In a blender, combine yogurt, ice, orange juice, honey and frozen orange sections and blend until smoothie. Serve in 2 glasses.
