Ingredients
- 1 cup finely chopped unsweetened chocolate
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 3 tablespoon light corn syrup
- 2 tablespoon Grand Marnier (optional)
- 2 tablespoon Marshmallows
Preparation
Baking Directions:
Pour the cream into a fondue pot and light the heating element.
Add the sugar and salt and bring to a boil.
Add the chocolate, stirring to melt.
Stir in the butter, corn syrup, and Grand Marnier if using.
Serve at once with marshmallows and shortbread cookies and any other accompaniments.
Variation: If you do not have a fondue pot, make the fondue in a 1 quart saucepan and transfer to a heatproof bowl for serving.
(You will need to return the fondue to the heat periodically if not consumed within 8 to 10 minutes.)
Embellishments: This fondue can also be served with a variety of the following: strawberries, sliced bananas, dried apricots, miniature cream puffs, marshmallows, wagers, pound cake, sliced pears, orange segments, or lady fingers.
