- 2 cups frozen pitted cherries
- 1 frozen very ripe banana
- 1 1/4 cup 1% low-fat milk
- ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Place the cherries, banana, milk and vanilla into a blender and blend until smooth. You may need to stop the blender to stir with a spatula a couple of times, depending on the power of your blender.
Divide the smoothie mixture among 4 serving bowls, then top with various toppings. Suggested toppings: granola, shredded coconut, mixed berries, halved green grapes, sliced fresh banana, chia seeds, sliced toasted almonds
