Ingredients

  • 1 soft Italian roll
  • 7 ounces thinly sliced beef ribeye
  • 1 beefsteak tomato, sliced
  • Shredded lettuce
  • 2-3 slices provolone or American cheese
  • Dried oregano
  • Chef notes

I love this recipe because it combines the best parts of an authentic Philly cheesesteak and a classic hoagie. Perfect for those who have trouble deciding between the two!

    Preparation

    1.

Heat a griddle or sauté pan over medium-high heat and add a splash of olive oil and one spritz nonstick cooking spray.

    2.

Add the ribeye to the griddle or pan and cook about 90 seconds on each side.

    3.

Take the Italian roll and cut down one side. Then add the provolone or American cheese to one side, then the cooked ribeye meat and top with lettuce, tomato slices and a sprinkle of dried oregano.
