Ingredients

  • 2 3.4-ounce packages instant vanilla pudding
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 40 vanilla wafers
  • 4 bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • Chef notes

Banana pudding is one of Carson's favorite desserts, and this recipe was passed down from his grandmother and probably hers before that. My twist is to put it in mason jars, because everyone loves individual portions!

Siri's Swap Idea: If you'd rather skip the jars, serve the pudding in a large bowl.

Siri's Time-Saving Tip: If you'd rather not make your own whipped cream, store-bought works just fine.

    Preparation

    1.

In a large bowl, add the pudding mix and milk. Whisk together for 2 minutes. Let the mixture sit for another 5 and then stir.

    2.

To assemble, line the mason jars with a few wafers and then add the pudding and the sliced bananas. Repeat until each mason jar is almost full.

    3.

To make the whipped cream topping, in a large bowl, add the heavy cream and sugar. Whisk by hand or with an electric mixer until it reaches stiff peaks. Top each mason jar with the whipped cream.
