Ingredients

  • Cake pop dough
  • 28-30 ice cream cones
  • Icing, store-bought or homemade
  • Cake glaze, store-bought or homemade, for dipping
  • Sprinkles
  • Chef notes

    These cones are a fun way to serve cake. Add a little chocolate ganache in the bottom of each cone for a truly amazing last bite!

    Technique tip: To make them look like Emojis, swirl the icing while piping, use chocolate cake glaze and place cut up pieces of fondant or candy on the finished cone to make a face.

    Swap option: You can use any flavor cake for this recipe. 

    Preparation

    1.

    Prepare cake pop dough, according to package directions.

    2.

    Pack cake pop dough into each cone, all the way to the top.

    3.

    Place icing into a piping bag fitted with a large round tip.

    4.

    Pipe icing onto each cake cone.

    5.

    Freeze cones for 30 minutes.

    6.

    Warm glaze slightly (it should be just above body temperature).

    7.

    Take a couple cones out of the freezer at a time and dip into the glaze. The glaze should cover all of the icing.

    8.

    Using your hands, add sprinkles to each cone.
