Chef notes

I love this recipe because it's quick, delicious and makes mornings so easy. The Berry-Chia Jam adds a burst of fruity freshness to the creamy oatmeal. It's a great way to start the day!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup steel cut oats
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons almond butter
  • 2 tablespoons Berry-Chia Jam (recipe linked above)

Preparation

1.

In a bowl, combine the steel cut and rolled oats.

2.

Add the milk and almond butter to this mixture and combine well.

3.

Store this mixture in the fridge for at least 3 hours, or overnight, so that the oats soak and absorb the liquid to form a thicker oatmeal-like consistency.

4.

Add the Berry-Chia Jam to the overnight oats and enjoy cold!
