Mix all dry spices and herbs together well. Press them onto the steak just prior to grilling. Place the BBQ rubbed steaks onto a hot charcoal grill and cook for 3 minutes on each side. Remove from the grill and allow to rest for 3-4 minutes prior to slicing. Identify the direction of the natural grain of the meat. When slicing, slice against the grain into thin slices, no thicker than a 1/4-inch thick.Put the peeled cippolini onions and jalapenos in a bowl. Add the oil and season with the salt and pepper. Place the onions and jalapenos onto the hot grill and allow to roast/char on the grill. Add these back to a mixing bowl and add the balsamic vinegar and ketchup.
