Basic poutine: Fries, cheese and gravy

Ingredients

  • 16 ounce frozen french fries, the skinny kind
  • 8 ounce beef gravy
  • 2 teaspoon maggi seasoning

Preparation

Baking Directions:

Cook fries to package instructions, but you want them nicely browned and crunchy.

In a small pot mix the gravy, Maggi seasoning and pepper until hot and bubbly.

Break up the cheese curds if using, or dice the mozzarella.

In a bowl, layer as follows: fries, cheese, gravy.

Season to taste with freshly ground black pepper and kosher salt.
