Two young ladies looked more their age on Thursday after getting picked for TODAY’s Ambush Makeover.
The glamorous new look for Barbara Brown, a 36-year-old self-described tomboy from Nebraska, amazed her two brothers and left her father speechless.
"Wow," her brothers exclaimed, looking blown away.
Louis Licari, TODAY's hair stylist to the stars, lightened and trimmed Brown’s hair and gave her “a pinch” of makeup. The result took years off her face, he said.
“She is a beautiful girl who did not have a clue how glamorous she was,” he said.
Meanwhile, Stephanie Byrum, 31, from Atlanta, Texas, was visiting New York with her sixth grade teacher and a handful of friends who couldn’t stop shrieking over her transformation.
Licari cut several inches off Byrum's hair to give her a chin-length bob that showed off her great jaw line, and a little bit of makeup added some plumpness to her lips.
TODAY contributor Jill Martin then decked her out in a royal blue Andrew Marc dress that accentuated her previously hidden figure.
“She’s such a tiny petite little thing,” Kathie Lee said.
