Remember “America’s Worst Driver,” the reality show that featured some of country’s most bumbling road warriors? Well given that it aired on the Travel Channel for just three months last year and lacked any major controversies — such as, oh, say, a contestant running over the host — the answer is likely “no.”
Well, the version of the show that airs in the Netherlands, “De Allerslechtste chauffeur van Nederland,” won't suffer the same forgettable fate thanks to one motorist who actually did run over the host on a recent episode.
According to Autoblog, the man behind the wheel is Pim, and despite the fact that he “mistook the accelerator for the brake, veered off course, took his hands from the wheel, covered his eyes, struck a car and ran down both a camera man and the show's host,” somehow everyone escaped without major injury. Only host Ruben Nicolai required a brief hospital stay.
As for Pim, he lost his license.
