Will Lindsay Lohan take a hiatus from acting?
The partying “Mean Girls” star says she loves to travel to foreign countries where she can blend in with the locals — and may take a year off to do just that.
Lohan, 20, has become one of the most photographed, sought after stars in the world, but has complained about the pressure of stardom. And in a rare break from Hollywood protocol, she has been criticized by some of her co-stars and bosses for her on-set behavior — with one of the execs from a production company saying that her absences on the set of her new film “Georgia Rule” were the acts of “a spoiled child.”
“I might take a vacation — take a year off,” Lohan recently said, reports WENN. “I want to travel and learn more about other cultures. The more I’ve grown up, the more I want to do that.”
Gibson still a ‘savior’ to LoveMel Gibson has taken some heat recently over his drunken outburst in Hollywood, but there’s one person who says she will always admire him: Courtney Love.
The troubled singer has told friends that Gibson was a “savior” when she needed one. Love had been struggling with her addiction and had been clean and sober for nine or 10 months but had a relapse, according to a well-placed source. Gibson went to her hotel room to try to help Love, says the insider, but she wouldn’t let him in.
“He was pounding on her door and hollering for her to open up, and she was cussing him out and telling him to go the [bleep] away,” says the insider. “He hung out until a delivery came to her room, and then he snuck in the door behind the delivery guy.” The source says Gibson really gave Love a stern talking to and convinced her to get back into rehab. “Courtney says the incident occurred about a year ago, and that when his own drinking problems were recently publicized she was reminded of them and that she will always love and admire Mel for what he did for her,” says the insider.
Gibson’s rep couldn’t be reached for comment, but another Hollywood insider says, “You’d be surprised at the number of addicts and alcoholics Mel has helped out like that.”
