Given that “Dancing With the Stars” hopeful Chaz Bono somehow made it through last week’s ballroom boot to dance -- or just sort of stand around while pro partner Lacey Schwimmer dances -- another day, mom Cher plans to keep her pledge and cheer him on from the audience Monday night.

Will Cher’s stage-side support help or hurt her son’s chances? Bono isn’t so sure.

“I don’t know,” Bono told “Entertainment Tonight” about his chances with his high-profile parent around. “It’ll be hard because she won’t have her phone to tweet.”

Cher often uses Twitter to drum up votes for Bono.

As for Schwimmer, she isn’t so sure about Cher’s visit, either, but after giving it some thought, she can see the upside.

“I think it will be hard because people will stare at her and not really at you,” she told Bono, but after considering his recent dance floor dilemmas, she added, “which could be a good thing. … Hopefully the judges don’t look at you, and go ‘Oh, Cher, you look great! 10!’”

Ouch! Not exactly a vote of confidence. Still, Bono told "ET" he’s ready to face this week’s paso doble — and he’ll have plenty of people cheering him on.

Radar Online recently reported that Cher is far from the only pro-Bono guest expected to be in the audience. Bono’s girlfriend, Jennifer Elia, and stepmom, Rep. Mary Bono Mack, will be there, as will his half-brother Chesare Bono and Cher's half-sister Georganne La Piere Bartylak.
