Think it's a crime that Cher's Burlesque ballad "You Haven't Seen the Last of Me" wasn't nominated for an Oscar? Well, if you didn't before, you will now.
Turns out James Franco, who is cohosting the Academy Awards on Sunday with Anne Hathaway, wanted to sing the song during the big show.
But, alas, Hollywood's resident Renaissance Guy will have to do it somewhere else.

Franco tweeted yesterday, "they pulled this from the oscar show. damn it," with a link to an audio clip of the 127 Hours star's dreadful cover of "You Haven't Seen the Last of Me." He's heard talking to an unidentified pianist.
The Twitter page and recording have since been taken down.
While reports have described the performance as being "banned" from the Oscars, sources tell me that's not exactly what's going on. I'm hearing Franco and producers had discussed him singing the song (possibly in Cher drag!) during the telecast. They talked about Cher performing the song after walking on stage and giving Franco the boot.
But plans hit a snag when the Diane Warren-penned tune wasn't nominated. According to sources, producers decided to cut the possible number because they felt it was inappropriate to give so much attention to a movie and a song that was shut out by Academy voters.
Oh, well. Perhaps they'll let Franco join Celine Dion when she sings "Smile" during the awards' "In Memoriam" segment.
OK, maybe not.
