The shock jock has ordered his minions to sue SiriusXM Radio, accusing the company of screwing him out of stock awards. Per the lawsuit filed in New York State Supreme Court and obtained by the Wall Street Journal, Stern claims he was promised a large chunk of stock for leaving terrestrial radio behind and making the jump to satellite.

According to court papers, however, after Sirius merged with XM in 2007 and upped its subscriber base to 20 million, the did not honor its obligation to share with Howard "in any success that the company achieved."

Specifically, Team Howard feels he should have gotten a big fat bonus on top of his show's $500 million deal.

"Stern enabled Sirius to surpass its internal subscriber targets by more than 2 million subscribers in 2006 and in 2007," alleges the suit. "Because of this success and the revenue that it brought into the company, [Stern's production company, One Twelve Inc.] was entitled to receive the performance-based stock awards Sirius promised Stern.

"If not for the dramatic success that Stern had brought Sirius, Sirius would not have been in a position to acquire its rival and the merger would not have happened," states the suit.

Stern, who just renewed his contract for five more years for reportedly almost $1 billion, is asking for unspecified damages.

A spokesman for SiriusXM Radio expressed dismay with Stern's allegations.

"Sirius XM just signed a contract through 2015 with Howard Stern and he is a valued part of our company," Patrick Reilly, senior vice president of communications, said in a statement. "We were thus surprised and disappointed by the subsequent legal action initiated by his production company and agent. We have met all of our obligations under the terms of our 2004 agreement with Howard, his agent and production company."

Knowing Howard, this isn't the last we'll hear about it.
