Several of the national pastime's biggest names made it easily to the second round.
World Series champ and beard enthusiast Brian Wilson continued his streak of domination, sending Alfonso Soriano home after grabbing 55 percent of the votes. Derek Jeter also breezed by his competition, ending Jose Reyes short season after pulling in 65 percent.
But this first round was all about the upset. Not only did underdog Josh Hamilton sent Manny Ramirez packing after completely dominating with 68 percent of the votes, but Joe Mauer showed Alex Rodriguez the door, bringing in 58 percent to the Yankee star's 42. Has the public officially tired of A-Rod's spotlight-grabbing antics?
