In recognition of National Honesty Day, Hoda and Kathie Lee had a little white-lie off.
The unofficial holiday was created in 1991 to encourage a day of real talk. To that end, Hoda copped to telling the occasional white lie -- she might lie to be kind, or for expediency's sake, she acknowledged.
Not Kathie Lee, though. She said she would try to find a way to be honest, no matter what.
"What if I'm wearing a dress, and you hate it?" Hoda asked.
KLG said she would be honest and say something. So Hoda pressed further: "What I was ready to go out, and I had no other dress?"
KLG claimed she would STILL say something. Both of them ultimately agreed that words can wound, and it's always better to err on the side of niceness.
Still, the next time you need an opinion on your clubbin' outfit and you're pressed for time, we suggest you don't go to Kathie Lee. Ask Hoda instead!
