We all know Kathie Lee is a big fan of musical theater, which may have been why she was so pleased to see "Glee" star Matthew Morrison on Tuesday.
Matthew, whom she repeatedly referred to as a "hunk," stopped by the show to discuss the upcoming season of "Glee" and his upcoming album of standards. But KLG was more interested in extolling the virtues of his bod. She saw him perform as Lieutenant Cable in the 2008 Broadway revival of "South Pacific" (he was, she was delighted to note, shirtless) and has been his fan since.
How big is her crush? She even suggested breaking up his fictional "Glee" engagement ("She's not right for you!"), but the capper was at the end of the interview, when she joined him in crooning a starry-eyed duet of "Hey There" from "The Pajama Game". She lamented that, way back when she was working on her own Broadway show, she'd wanted him to be involved, but he'd been busy filming the "Glee" pilot.
"I'm so happy for you, by the way," he said of Kathie Lee's "Scandalous" musical premiere.
"I'm so happy for you!" she cooed.
Hoda just rolled her eyes, but we know where her ginger affections lie.
