Which 'Dancing' pro should be paired with Snooki?

Yesterday, when sources revealed to our pals at Us Weekly that Snooki is in talks to participate in the upcoming season of "Dancing With the Stars," readers had a rather strong reaction on our Facebook page.

"Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!" said Pamela Kay.

"oh God NO!!!!! I can't stand this chick! I really love DWTS but I don't want to see her on there. Can't they find someone better???" said Jennifer Silverwood Young.

"If they put her on there I will not watch it. She annoys me so much," said Donita Jones.

You get the idea.

But "DWTS" fans, you have to admit -- these casting rumors have turned into reality on more than one occasion. So much as you dislike the "Jersey Shore" star, I gotta ask: Who should be paired with her?

My first (totally selfish) thought: NOT MAKS!!!! The super talented (and amazingly easy-on-the-eyes) pro deserves a mirror ball trophy after all these seasons, not to mention as much screentime as he can possibly get. Maks Chmerkovskiy -- or any other pro -- won't have a chance in heck at the coveted win if he gets paired with Snooki.

So who, then? My vote: Derek Hough. Here's why. First, he's already won three mirror ball trophies. Three! He doesn't need another one. Plus, he took season 12 off to film a 3-D dance film, so consider a partnership with Snooki a way to ease him back onto the show and its rigorous schedule with a shorter season.

Another possibility? Louis van Amstel. The man is sweet as heck and could probably deal with the kooky reality star better than many of the other male pros. (Imagine how quickly the heads of Maks and Mark Ballas would explode after a day with her.) Sure, Tony Dovolani is also a great guy, but after getting stuck with Kate Gosselin in season 10, he's more than earned the right to never have a nightmare of a dance partner ever again.

What do you think? If Snooki does indeed get cast, who would be the best pro for her? Tell us on our Facebook page!
