None other than Marissa Jaret Winokur.

After joining the show last September to do weekly "Mom in the Street" segments, Winokur tells People "I will not be returning to The Talk this year".

The 37-year-old former Broadway star said there "really wasn't room for [her] segments" as the show continued to develop, and that although she "[loves her] co-hosts and the crew at The Talk" she wants "to be more involved with what [she's] working on."

The split seemed to be amicable on the show's end as well.

"We think the world of Marissa as a creative talent, on-air personality and super mom. This is a mutual decision based on time, not talent." Brad Bessey, executive producer of the CBS daytime talk show said. "The show is trending toward more time with panel conversations and interviews, creating fewer opportunities for the mom-on-the-street segments."

Meanwhile, Winokur plans to utilize her time following the show split to cope with the loss of her father who passed during the holidays, and focus on plans to develop her own cable show and clothing line.

"I'm still grieving over the loss of my father," Winokur said. "I honestly think this is a blessing in disguise that I don't have the added stress of pretending to keep my chin up and go to work every day.
