Watching Matthew McConaughey might be our favorite part of the Summer Games

Matthew McConaughey still can't get enough of Team USA in Rio. And that's a good thing, because we definitely can't get enough of Matthew McConaughey's superfan gusto.

Good luck, every other nation. Team USA has a not-so-secret weapon: the ultimate Olympic superfan, Matthew McConaughey.

Earlier this week, we were transfixed by his riveted reactions at the swim finals. Then he won us over all over again with his intense team spirit at Wednesday's basketball match-up.

"I'm here now. Y'all can go ahead and get the Games underway," the star almost certainly didn't say. Then again, we'd understand if they staged a McConaughey-delay until he got there.

That's right! He's putting on even more medal-worthy displays in the stands — and watching him might just be the best spectator sport at the Summer Games.

On Thursday, the Oscar winner and wife Camila Alves — like most people — had their eyes on the pool as Michael Phelps went for gold and glory once again. And Phelps' winning moment was a winner for McConaughey, too, as you can see.

That's a double "aw yeah!" from Team McConaughey-Alves.

Of course, Olympic pride isn't in short supply these days. In fact, when it comes to Team USA, the actor has some serious superfan competition in the form of "Ghostbusters" star Leslie Jones. But they're not fighting for top honors — they're in this together.

This is truly a great time to be a fan of a fan!

And the gold for best superfan-with-fan selfie goes to ... this guy.

And the great times will continue. There's more than a week to go for the Games in Rio and that can only mean one thing: more McConaughey!
