Everyone who has seen a Wes Anderson film — among them, "Bottle Rocket," "The Royal Tenenbaums," and "Fantastic Mr. Fox" — knows that Anderson loves symmetry. And minimalism. And Bill Murray. (But who doesn't love Bill Murray?)

What we didn't realize was just how much the filmmaker enjoys creating a visual balance. A new video from Kogonada, who specializes in dissecting different director styles, puts a dotted line down the center of a supercut of Anderson scenes. It shows just how much symmetry actually exists in his very distinct film styles.

Watch the video — which has already been viewed nearly 700,000 times since Monday — and realize again what a crazy perfectionist Anderson is.
