"Furious 7" wasn't nominated for prizes at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday (there's always next year), but late star Paul Walker was nonetheless the recipient of a heartfelt tribute thanks to Vin Diesel.
"The last time I stood on this stage, I was with my brother Pablo," Diesel, who appeared opposite Walker in most of the franchise's films, told the audience.
Paul Walker died in a car crash unrelated to the movies while "Furious 7" was on hiatus in 2013.
Diesel then launched into a few lines from Wiz Khalifa's "See You Again," a tribute to Walker and a song that appeared in the film. Diesel is known for having a deep, authoritative voice, but he's not well known for his singing abilities.
He credited his 4-year-old son Vincent with giving him the inspiration to burst into song, telling MTV afterward that the boy "has been singing that song pretty intensely" and has made visiting cast members cry when they hear it.
Definitely watch Diesel's performance and interview with MTV afterward, but don't miss the original video by Wiz Khalifa himself. Have your hankies ready!
