It's got to be one of the most quoted movies ever made. Surely you know a line, or two, or 200, from 1975's "Monty Python and the Holy Grail."
"It's just a flesh wound." "We are the knights who say NI!" "Brave Sir Robin ran away, bravely ran away, away!" "Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time." "She turned me into a newt." "Oh, but you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you." "What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?" And so on. And so on...
But what if "Holy Grail" wasn't a comedy, but instead a serious, high-budget action movie? Stefane Bouley carefully edited clips from the film to make a fascinating and fun fake trailer showing how that might play out in theaters.
That Arthur, King of the Britons could be pretty imposing when played off against some threatening music and visuals. A little slo-mo works wonders too. The Bridge of Death is actually pretty scary when removed from the three- (or is it five?) question quiz. And even without horses, the knights still look like they're in a way better movie than, say, summer's big flop "The Lone Ranger."
