"Orange Is the New Black" star Uzo Aduba won big at Saturday night's Screen Actors Guild Awards — twice. But a couple of photos she tweeted right after the event proved she was already having a winning evening before those honors.
Aduba, who took home trophies for Best Actress in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, shared a then-and-now split of herself and longtime friend Mark Crowley — side-by-side in 1999, on the left, and together on SAG night, on the right — along with a caption that explained it all.
"He asked me to the prom, I said yes," she wrote. "I asked him to SAGs, he said yes."
While Crowley may not be a star like Aduba, he's certainly a recognizable face to anyone who follows her on Instagram.
She often shares pics of her pal, even explaining in one hashtag that they "#metinfirstgrade"
Sweet!
